Andrew’s Birthday

Andrew is turning 23 next week and he plans on throwing a thanksgiving party. He will hold the party in his apartment and invited all his family and all of his friends. His co-workers and boss will be coming over too. Andrew is actually freaking out. He hopes to serve the most delicious food and great tasting wine.

He has already ordered most of the food to be served during the party. The wines, beers and sodas are all piled high up in his kitchen. More or less, he is ready. Though there is one thing he still needed to do: his cake. Andrew still needs a few cake decorating ideas for he plans to make his own birthday cake. Though he has not tried it out before, Andrew is pretty good in baking. In fact, he makes wonderful tasting cookies and pies.

Andrew still needs to get a few decorations up and he has asked some of his friends for help. He even rented out poker tables to keep the guest entertained all night long. Andrew is just so excited for his birthday.

Today is finally Andrew’s birthday. He has woken up really early to finalize some things. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. It seems that his first guest has arrived.

My Friends

I miss going out with my friends. It has been 3 months since I last went out with them. It is not that we don’t want to see each other. We were all just so busy and our schedules just don’t match. Though I get to have a few drinks with one or two of my girlfriends, it would be really great to spend time with all of my eleven girlfriends.

The last time we got together was during our white water rafting adventure. It was so much fun. We all got went and I almost fell out of the raft. It was such a memorable experience all of us will never forget. There was also a time we went to the airport and just got on the next flight to anywhere. It turns out we were heading to Nebraska and we have absolutely no idea where to go. We ended up meeting really nice guys in a cafe and just hung out. By nightfall, we were all back in New York. It was such a thrilling day, if you ask me.

I am planning to go to the beach this weekend. I hope my girlfriend could join me. It would be more fun with them around.

The Job

Maria just scored herself a huge interior decorating job. She has been decorating for almost 5 years now and this is the biggest and grandest one that she’s tackled. Maria is just so excited.

Maria will be decorating a rich man’s house and apparently a budget is non-existent. She was just given a few details on what her clients like suede, cowboy boots, Chinese symbols and silk. Quite an odd combination but it is do-able.

It has been three days and most of her recommended decors have been reviewed and approved by her client. She can’t wait to finish the interior decorating project. It would be ultimately fabulous!

Maria just had showed her client the outdoor fireplace design she has come up and she is ecstatic that the rich man loved all her ideas. The next part of the house she will be tackling is the master’s bedroom. It would be quite a challenge for her since it is more of a suite than a bedroom. It was absolutely huge. Maria plans of putting up silk sheets and suede rugs as well as recessed lighting. LED light will be put up as well to further enhance the ambience of the entire room.

Welcome Home

It has been years since Winston visited his parents. It has been six years to be exact. Ever since he moved out, he has been so busy with work. His mom was pretty much disappointed in him for not making an effort. Though he had not made any time for visits, Winston always called up her parents and siblings often.

As soon as Winston entered the house, he was met by the warm, homey smell of apple pie. His mom loves to bake apple pies as it is his dad’s favourite. The kitchen lighting is still the same as it was before. In fact, everything is just the same as it was six years ago. Winston realized just how much he missed his family and this wonderful home of theirs.

Climbing up a flight of stairs, Winston entered his old room. It still bore his high school medals and awards in chess. Yes, he was sort of a nerd back then. But Winston never gave it another thought. He was happy just as he was.

Winston kept walking around the house. His parents don’t know yet that he has arrived. It was meant to be a surprise. Winston went around back and saw his parents tending their small backyard garden. It is good to be home.
